Three Rogersville Residents Seriously Injured


In Webster County, three Rogersville residents are seriously to moderately injured after the driver lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway.

On May 2, 2013 at approximately 4:00 p.m., Cassidy Pettit, age 17 of Rogersville, Missouri was operating a 1990 Dodge Caravan along with passengers; Wesley Hammond, age 18, and Donathon Carmichael, age 20.

At that said date and time, Cassidy Pettit was traveling in the northbound direction on White Oak Road and one mile south of Marshfield, Missouri. The crash occurred as Cassidy lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the left edge of the roadway, overturned, and collided with a fence.

Wesley Hammond received serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Cassidy Pettit and Donathon Carmichael received moderate injuries and were also transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, no one inside the 1990 Dodge Caravan was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Cassidy’s 1990 Dodge Caravan received extensive damages and was towed by Marshfield Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
