Three Seriously Injured After Driver Rolls Through Stop Sign

In Cedar County, three occupants involved in a crash are seriously injured after the driver rolled through the stop sign.

On April 1, 2013 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Kimberly Elliston, age 41 from Stockton, Missouri was operating a 2002 GMC. Eric Jones, age 41 from Stockton, Missouri was the only passenger in Kimberly’s vehicle during the time of the crash. Victoria Clark, age 21 from Preston, Missouri was operating a 2001 Chrysler.

At that said date and time, Kimberly Elliston was traveling in the eastbound direction as Eric Jones was traveling in the southbound direction on Route J and 8 miles north of Stockton. The crash occurred as Victoria ran and rolled through a stop sign and collided with Kimberly’s vehicle.

Kimberly Elliston received serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Eric Jones and Victoria Clark received serious injuries and both were transported by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Victoria Clark was the only participant involved in this crash who was wearing a seat belt.

Kimberly Elliston’s 2002 GMC and Victoria Clark’s 2001 Chrysler received total damages. Both vehicles were towed by Mike’s Wrecker of Stockton.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
