Three Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision

In Butler County, three Corning, Arkansas residents were seriously injured after a head-on collision on Thursday evening.

On September 6, 2012 at approximately 6:35 p.m., Christina Jackson, age 37 and of Corning, Arkansas was operating a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt and traveling in the westbound direction. Along with Christina Jackson were her two children, Tyler, age 14, and Haley, age 16, in the vehicle during the time of the crash. Nathan Kellogg, age 32 and of Myrtle, Missouri was operating a 1994 Ford Explorer and traveling in the eastbound direction.

At that said time and place, Christina Jackson was traveling in the westbound direction while Nathan Kellogg was traveling in the eastbound direction on US highway 160, at Horseshoe Lane and three miles east of Fairdealing. The head-on collision occurred as Nathan Kellogg traveled across the centerline of the roadway and collided with Christina Jackson’s vehicle head-on.

Christina Jackson received serious injuries and was flown by air evacuation to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Christina’s daughter, Haley Jackson, received serious injuries from the crash and was flown to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. And Christina’s son, Tyler Jackson, sustained serious injuries as well from the collision and was flown by air evacuation to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. As for Nathan Kellogg, he received moderate injuries from the crash collision and was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Christina Jackson’s 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt received total damages from the collision and was towed by Randy’s Towing from Doniphan, Missouri. Nathan Kellogg’s 1994 Ford Explorer received total damages and was towed by Junior’s Towing out of Doniphan, Missouri.

This crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop E.
