Three-vehicle Collision in Hickory County

In Hickory County, a three-vehicle collision occurs after the at-fault driver failed to notice the vehicle ahead of him stopped in the roadway and collided into it.

On February 5, 2014 at approximately 11:35 a.m., Patti Pinnell, age 43 of Hermitage, Missouri was operating a 1996 Dodge Avenger. Darell Miller, age 72 of Hermitage, Missouri was operating a 1994 Lincoln Continental along with Phyllis Miller, age 72.

At that said date and time, Patti and Darell were both traveling in the northbound direction on Missouri Highway 64. The crash occurred as Darell overtook and collided with Patti’s vehicle, which was stopped in the roadway, and caused her vehicle to travel off the right side of the road and collide with a 2002 Mitsubishi that was already parked in a ditch.

Phyllis Miller and Patti Pinnell both received moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.

The parked 2002 Mitsubishi received total damages and was towed by Hickory County Towing. Darell Miller’s 1994 Lincoln Continental received extensive damages and was towed by Hickory County Towing. Patti Pinnell’s 1996 Dodge Avenger received minor damages and was driven from the scene of the crash.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
