Tree Collision Moderately Injures Two


In Greene County, two people are moderately injured after the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree.

On November 6, 2013 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Yusuf Freeman, age 35 of Springfield, Missouri was operating a 1995 GMC Jimmy along with passenger Tia Childers, age 34 of Brookline Station, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Yusuf Freeman was traveling in the southbound direction on County Road 115 and 4 miles east of Walnut Grove. The crash occurred as Yusuf Freeman failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then traveled off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Tia Childers and Yusuf Freeman received moderate injuries from the collision and were both transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report fromt the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Tia Childers nor Yusuf Freeman was wearing their seat belt at the time of the collision.

Yusuf’s 1995 GMC Jimmy received total damages and was towed by Premier Wrecker of Springfield.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
