Two Catawissa Teens Injured in Crash


In Franklin County, two teenagers are injured after the driver was operating the vehicle too fast for weather conditions and lost control.

On September 6, 2013 at approximately 9:20 p.m., Kristopher Wade, age 18 of Catawissa, Missouri was operating a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero along with passenger Nicholas Hogan, age 17 of Catawissa, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Kristopher Wade was traveling in the southbound direction on Robertsville Road and south of Dailey Road. The crash occurred when Kristopher was traveling too fast for the road conditions and failed to negotiate a curve to the left, losing control of his vehicle and overturning.

Nicholas Hogan was seriously injured and transported by Meramec ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington. Kristopher Wade received minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital by Meramec ambulance.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both Kristopher and Nicholas were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Kristopher’s 2002 Mitsubishi Montero received total damages and was towed by Hyndrich’s Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop C.
