Two Clinton County Motorcyclists Crash in Osborn Missouri and Suffer Moderate Injuries

In Clinton County, two motorcyclists crash close to Osborn, Missouri and suffer moderate to extensive injuries.

On August 9, 2011 at approximately 8:00 pm, 23 year old Eric Verhagen from Osborn, MO was operating a 2002 Kawasaki while traveling Southbound on Route M at Southeast 358th Street, around 2/10 of a mile South of Osborn. Verhagen had no passengers. At said time and place, Anthony Brookshier, age 21, of Cameron, MO, was operating a 2010 Harley Davidson and was also traveling southbound on Route M. Brookshier also had no passengers.

The crash occurred when Verhagen and Brookshier collided as they were exiting Osborn, causing both motorcyclists to lose control. Verhagen’s motorcycle slid off the west side of the roadway and came to rest on its side. Verhagen landed in the roadway. Brookshier’s motorcycle crossed over the center line, went off the east side of the roadway, and came to rest in the ditch. Brookshier landed in the ditch as well.

Eric Verhagen suffered from extensive injuries in the crash. Anthony Brookshier suffered from moderate injuries. Both men were transported from the scene of the crash to Cameron Regional Hospital by private vehicles.

Verhagen’s motorcycle had extensive damages. Brookshier’s motorcycle received moderate damages. Both were removed by Scotty’s of Cameron.
