Two Fatalities Involving Three Motorcycles and School Bus


In St. Charles County, two Missourians are pronounced fatal after a four-vehicle crash involving three motorcycles and a school bus on Missouri Route A.

On March 11, 2014 at approximately 6:40 a.m., Matthew Adam, age 43 of Bowling Green, Missouri was operating a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja. Jacob Boedeker, age 22 of Warrenton, Missouri was operating a 2005 Honda CBR 600. Adam Meyer, age 25 of Warrenton, Missouri was operating a 2005 Yamaha R1. Pamela Love, age 52 of Wright City, Missouri was operating a 2013 Thomas Bus.

At that said date and time, the three motorcycles operated by Matthew, Jacob, and Adam were traveling in the southbound direction while Pamela Love was traveling in the westbound direction on Missouri Route A at Westgate Business Court. The crash occurred as the 2013 Thomas Bus driven by Pamela Love was attempting to make a left turn from Westgate Business Court to northbound Route A when she traveled into the pathway of the three motorcycles. Matthew and Jacob both crashed into the driver side of the 2013 Thomas Bus and Adam hit the debris from the crash, causing him to eject from his motorcycle. No students were on the school bus at the time of the crash.

Matthew Adam and Jacob Boedeker were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by ambulance personnel and then transported to St. Louis County Morgue by Lonning Funeral Home.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Matthew, Jacob, and Adam were wearing proper safety equipment while operating their motorcycles and at the time of the collision.

Matthew’s 2011 Kawasaki, Jacob’s 2005 Honda CBR 600, and Adam’s 2005 Yamaha R1 all received total damages and were towed by Crash City. Pamela Love’s 2013 Thomas Bus received extensive damages and was towed into bus depot parking lot by Skyline.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop C. The investigation into the crash is still pending and according to police, there is no traffic signal at the intersection.
