Two Injured after Wheel Falls Off and Causes Crash

In Texas County, two Cabool, Missouri residents are moderately injured after a single-car crash.

On August 12, 2012 at approximately 6:16 p.m., Russell Johnson, age 56 of Cabool, Missouri was operating a 1975 Dodge truck and traveling south on Route M, 4 miles north of Cabool. Brenda Lau, age 47 of Cabool, Missouri was the passenger in Johnson’s vehicle at the time of the crash.

At that said time and place, Johnson’s front, driver side wheel came off the vehicle, causing the vehicle to run off the left side of the road, crash into an embankment and overturn.

Both Johnson and Lau received moderate injuries from the crash and were transported by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

Johnson’s 1975 Dodge received total damages from the crash and was towed by Jay’s Automotive and Towing in Houston, Missouri.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sergeant J. R. Kinder from Troop G.
