Two Pedestrians Seriously Injured ATV Crash


In Webster County, a driver operating an ATV failed to observe two pedestrians in the roadway and collided into them, causing serious injuries.

On June 26, 2013 at approximately 6:40 a.m., Noah Scott, age 12 of Marshfield, Missouri was operating a 2003 Polaris Trailblazer 250 ATV.

At that said date and time, Noah Scott was traveling in the northbound direction on Spring Valley Loop and 3 miles east of Marshfield. The collision occurred as Noah failed to observe Angela Carter, age 34 of Marshfield, Missouri and her son, Mason Carter, age 11, walking in the roadway when he collided with Mason Carter. The ATV began skidding and sliding on the gravel terrain and Noah collided with Angela Carter.

Angela and Mason Carter both received serious injuries from the collision and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Noah Scott was not injured and his 2003 Polaris ATV was not damaged from the crash.

This pedestrian crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
