Two Women Receive Moderate Injuries from Collision

In Cole County, two women are moderately injured after a collision on US 54.

On April 26, 2012 at approximately 5:35 p.m., Chelsea Burke, age 22 and of Mokane, Missouri was operating a 1998 Honda and traveling in the eastbound direction. Whitney Allen, age 22 and of Easton, Missouri was Ms. Burke’s passenger at the time of the crash. Donald Watts, age 21 and of Eugene, Missouri was operating a 2002 Dodge and traveling in the southbound direction.

At that said time and place, Chelsea was traveling eastbound on US 54 at Hickory Hill and Donald was traveling southbound. The crash occurred was Donald attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of US 54 and entered into the path of Chelsea’s vehicle, which resulted in a collision.

Chelsea Burke and her passenger, Whitney Allen, both received moderate injuries from the crash collision. They were both transported to Capital Region Medical Center by Cole County EMS. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Donald Watts was uninjured and did not seek medical attention.

Chelsea’s 1998 and Donald’s 2002 Dodge both received total damages and were towed by Tow Pro.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop F.
