Vehicle Strikes Young Pedestrian

In Pettis County, a seven year-old girl ran in front of oncoming traffic and was struck by a vehicle.

On March 15, 2012 at approximately 3:25 p.m., Larry Johnson, age 74 and of Mora, Missouri was operating a 1995 Mitsubishi and traveling in the southbound direction on route M.

At that said time and place, Larry was traveling southbound along route M when seven year-old, Breanna Sims of Mora, Missouri ran out into the roadway and was struck by Larry’s vehicle.

Breanna sustained moderate injuries from the collision and was transported to Bothwell hospital. Larry was uninjured, according to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Larry’s 1995 Mitsubishi received minor damages from the crash and was able to drive from the scene.

This crash is undergoing investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop A.
