Victim is Seriously Injured Due to Hit and Run Crash

In St. Louis County, the at-fault driver leaves the scene of the crash and the victim with serious injury.

On September 17, 2011 at approximately 1:00 a.m., 46 year old Gloria Hurt, resident of St. Louis, Missouri was operating a 2003 Chrystler Town and County Minivan and traveling in the southbound direction on Interstate 55 and .6 miles north of Reavis Barracks.

The at-fault drivers’ details are unknown due to the failure of presenting himself at the scene of the crash.

At that said time and place, both Gloria and the unknown driver were traveling southbound in the same direction on Interstate 55. Then the front of the unknown driver’s vehicle struck the right rear of Gloria, causing her to spin counter clockwise and to strike the median. The front of Gloria’s vehicle smashed against the concrete median wall. At that time, the unknown at-fault driver left the scene of the crash.

Gloria Hurt sustained serious injuries from the crash. She was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Lemay Fire Protection District. She was then treated for medical attention due to her painful and serious injuries.

Gloria Hurt’s 2003 Chrystler Minivan received total damages due to the crash. Her vehicle was towed by Miners Towing.

This auto-crash was and still is under investigation of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and by Trooper #300 C. Fieser of Troop C.
