Woman Injured in Wrong-way Collision


In Crawford County, a Cuba, Missouri woman is injured after the at-fault driver crossed the highway and traveled into her path.

On February 11, 2014 at approximately 10:25 a.m., Bradley Gruver, age 24 of Cuba, Missouri was operating a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass along with Destanie Gruver, age 26 of Cuba, Missouri. Charles Holtz, age 26 of Cuba, Missouri was operating a 2008 Dodge Pickup.

At that said date and time, Bradley Gruver was traveling in the northbound direction on Highway 19 while Charles Holtz was traveling in the eastbound direction on Glassey Road. The crash occurred on Highway 19 at Glassey Road when Charles Holtz crossed the highway and entered into the path of oncoming traffic, colliding with Bradley’s vehicle.

Destanie Gruver received moderate injuries from the collision and was transported by North Crawford ambulance to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri. Neither Bradley Gruver nor Charles Holtz received any reported injuries.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, none of the occupants involved in this crash were wearing their seat belts.

Bradley Gruver’s 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass and Charles Holtz’s 2008 Dodge Pickup received extensive damages. Both vehicles were towed by Brad’s Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop I.
