Woman Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision

In Franklin County, a woman is seriously injured after a vehicle crosses the center line and collides with her head-on.

On November 17, 2012 at approximately 10:20 a.m., Candice Murphy, age 27 from St. Clair, Missouri was operating a 2002 Mitsubishi. Ann Missey, age 42 from St. Clair, Missouri was operating a 2002 Dodge Ram.

At that said time and place, Ann Missey was traveling in the eastbound direction on Virginia Mines Road and east of route K while Candice Murphy was in the westbound direction. The head-on collision occurred as Candice crossed the center line and the front left of her vehicle collided with the front left of Ann’s vehicle.

Ann Missey received serious injuries from the head-on collision and was transported by St. Clair ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Washington, Missouri. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Candice Murphy was uninjured. Both Ann Missey and Candice Murphy were not wearing seat belts during the time of the collision.

Candice Murphy’s 2002 Mitsubishi and Ann Missey’s 2002 Dodge Ram received total damages from the crash. Both vehicles were towed by Hoffman’s Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop C.
