On November 19, 2012 at approximately 6:33 p.m., Amanda Robinson, age 32 from Chillicothe, Missouri was operating a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Amanda was traveling in the eastbound direction on Missouri Highway 190 and six miles west of Chillicothe.
At that said time and place, Amanda traveled over a hill crest and noticed a deer in the roadway. In attempt to avoid collision with the deer, Amanda went off to the left of the road and traveled off the north side of the roadway. Her vehicle collided with multiple trees which caused her spin counterclockwise several times. Amanda’s vehicle then rolled and vaulted into the air, while in the air her vehicle collided with another tree. The vehicle rolled one more time and came to a final rest on its wheels. Amanda was trapped inside her vehicle and was extricated by the Livingston County Rural Fire and Rescue.
Amanda Robinson received serious injuries from the crash and was transported by Lifeflight Eagle to St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza. Her 2003 Chrysler received total damages and was towed by Peery Towing and Repair. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Amanda was wearing a seat belt during the time of the crash.
This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop H, Livingston County Rural Fire and Rescue, and the Chillicothe ambulance service.
